IRISH NATIIONAL R3 WIN FOR BAIRD

Due to weather conditions early on in the year round 3 had been washed out so the rerun filled the reserve date. Quiet a different story this time with 20c and the sun blazing in the Cork sky's .. CRCCC (Cork Radio Control Car Club) has a very fast Replique Montre flowing European style track where any small mistakes punish big time ...

Qualification was nip and tuck with 4 drivers swapping places Gary Baird ,Alan Scroggie ,Barkley Abernethy and Andrew McClean ... Scroggie was to take TQ on a tie by 1 second on the final run .

The main final had an incredible 9 Agama A215's out of 10 cars. Things where pretty tight at the start with the same 4 runners pulling away from the rest of the field . Barkley lost nearly 4 mins with an engine issue but rejoined for the last 20mins , Andrew McLean what can we say showed he has the pace and looked really settled and controlled , Alan Scroggie follow Gary Baird home in a respectful and well driven 2nd with Gary Baird taking the win in both classes this weekend (ebuggy as well) everything is bunched up for the final round in Navan (2 points separate 3 drivers) at the end of the month.

Thank you to Cork for hosting a fun weekend !
