NORTH & SOUTH REGION CHAMPIONS

NEMO Racing has ended the 2015 season in fine style by taking the overall victories in both the NRS and SRS Regional Championships.

First to the North, where the weather is cold and men are hard.
NEMO Racing driver Jonny Skidmore capped off a fine season by taking 2nd at the final round to secure the overall series win with his Bullitt Powered Agama A215. It has been a fantastic year for the young man from Wakefield, having made the final at every BRCA National, and the finals at Euro B warm and main event, his consistency has been superb, despite a broken arm mid season that prevented him attending the Euros A in Italy.

Now to the South, where the weather is warm and the streets are paved with gold.
The final round of the series was held at the permanently excellent Herts Nitro track in Ware. A strong field was present with British and European Champion Elliott Boots among them. In Qualifying it was NEMO young gun Ollie Currie who shocked the establishment with an outstanding display of driving to take the overall TQ. Ollie’s A215 was shod with the new BETA Volante tyres and they were proving to be untouchable on the Herts surface, allowing Ollie to really push and take qualifying by the scruff of the neck. Kevin Brunsden also BETA shod backed him up in second with Elliott in third.
The final was a battle between Ollie and Elliott, and incident between the two saw Ollie drop back, but a brilliant charge saw him catching the European Champion but just running out of time to make the move and he had to settle for second, with Kevin third.
The Truck class saw NEMO’s own Jon Hazlewood making another late season outing, and he completely dominated, loving every minute of driving his A8T to a handsome victory.

The buggy class results saw NEMO driver Tony Truman take the overall title, despite having a fairly quiet final round here at Herts. His speed and consistent performances over the earlier rounds were enough to secure the Bicester man the title. Tony has had a up and down year, but this result was fine reward for his speed late season where he has been right on the pace and back to his old best.

Congratulations from all the NEMO family on the outstanding performances of our drivers, and the fantastic results they have achieved.
